WHOIS privacy?
Question by KM: WHOIS privacy?
How can I make my WHOIS information private if my current host doesn't offer it? Are there any additional websites where you can get your WHOIS information made private if your domain isn't registered with them?
Please give me some websites if you can, thanks

Registrars are contractually obligated to ICANN to disclose ownership information of TLDs in the WHOIS entry. The main exception to this rule is if local privacy laws prevent such a disclosure. I suppose that if you want to keep your WHOIS data secret, you'd need to register in a country which has privacy laws that prevent such a disclosure.

Since English apparently isn't your natural language, I'll try to answer what I think you're asking.
Purchasing a domain does not mean you get hosting. You just have "ownership" of the rights to use that domain name. You have to arrange for hosting separately (there are companies that do both -- it doesn't sound like you purchased that), Now that you've purchased the domain, you can have your administrative contact information listed in the whois database, or you can turn on "privacy," which then defaults to the registrar as the entry in whois.

Is there a way to hide the date the domain was registered under Whois lookup? (I don't mind buying a privacy filter)

Some whois servers show the date, some don't. You can't change them all.

Can I use my Registered Agent’s address in my Domain Whois?
Question by axillon: Can I use my Registered Agent's address in my Domain Whois?
I registered a Limited Liability Company which requires a Registered Agent (all legal documents goes thru this address first before delivering to me).. I would like to protect my privacy in my domain names by using my Registered Agent's information.. Can I do that?
Best answer:
Answer by jongros
You need permission from that registered agent as Limited Liability Companies are treated as being "real" in company law. The registered address refers only to where the register of members and other legal documents are kept. If your agent does not mind, and i'd get that in writing, then it should be ok. Please double check with a legal eagle.

Can I get Whois Privacy for my website if my web host does not offer it?
Question by Aces: Can I get Whois Privacy for my website if my web host does not offer it?
My web host does not offer whois privacy. Does anyone have a link to somewhere that can put whois privacy on my sites domain where I am web hosted at? When they put on this whois privacy is there anyway for anyone to be able to find out my name or personal info at all, like any way to get around their little iron curtain of protection? Thank you for any and all feedback.

Even if they have privacy whois they still must list a email address and a phone # for reporting spam, unless its a spoof site, go to google and search for the iternet ip protocol law and it can tell you where to get the infomation.
