Product Description
The Internet has become an integral part of American life in the 21st century. But as its presence in our lives has grown, so have concerns about its dangers. It’s time to consider our priorities with regard to protecting privacy, preserving free speech, and ensuring security. Can we—or should we—regulate what goes on the Internet?
Like the other nonpartisan guides used by participants in National Issues Forums, What Should Go on the Internet? can be used in communities to stimulate public deliberation and inform collective action, as well as in educational settings to introduce students to their role as citizens and to develop a more informed electorate.

Mark it as "spam."
What you will be doing is blocking contact between your address and the one it came from - this can be reversed if you accidently mark something as "spam" - and you are letting your mail provider know someone is sending junk mail.

What domain registrar should I use? ?
Question by matt_furey: What domain registrar should I use? ?
I'm looking to register several domains with a RELIABLE domain provider. Only responses from people with experience please, and preferably no affiliate links that way I know you aren't just answering for money.
What I need:
Free WHOIS Privacy
Free Email Addresses (something@mydomain.com)
Free URL Forwarding/Redirecting
Free Domain Locking
Ability to host anywhere (should be the standard, but I've seen ripoffs)
Free SSL certificates (unless this isn't normal, but I thought it was)
Free transferring to another registrar (not necessary if it's a great service, but it makes me feel better)
Again, I need something reliable, that as a good track record, and doesn't steal your site/shut you down for no reason. (Yes, I will probably use curse words somewhere on it when I buy a hosting plan elsewhere later)
Okay thanks!
Forget the SSL thing then.
Also--
the "learnasp" link didn't work.
And yes! I've heard bad things about GoDaddy. Although it's the largest I think I'd rather go with something else.

godaddy is the biggest and most reliable domain provider and will get you almost all the things you requested except the free whois privacy. Actually they will give you free privacy also if you register 5 or more domains with them. You did say you are looking to register several so if you make it 5 or more then you get free privacy also.
They will get you the free email, free forwarding, free locking and ability to host anywhere and free transfer away if you need.
Also the Free SSL is not provided with your domain. That is something that is attached to your hosting account. So that is never included with domains.
----------------------------------------------
All registars lock down your domain for 60 days after you register it. Godaddy does also. Once your 60 days are up its very easy to transfer it if you need. Just log into your account unlock it (click the unlock button) and you can transfer it away if you want. They dont have any "hoops" to jump thru. They are probably the easiest company to work with.
And if you go with another company you run the risk of losing your domain if they go under or get bought out. I have seen that happen alot (remember registerfly??)

Should I get a domain through Freewebs or elsewhere?
Question by Boo: Should I get a domain through Freewebs or elsewhere?
I currently have paid for a premium subscription through Freewebs (which also came with a free domain name). There is a fee for privacy protection that you should pay for when activating your domain name, but you can ONLY pay via credit card (which makes me leery.)
My question is, is there a reliable website that offers a domain name that is, well "compatible" with my freewebs (i.e.: I can easily use the domain name on my freewebs website)? This also meaning I do not HAVE to pay via credit card.
OR has anyone bought something through Freewebs with a credit card? I'd like to know if they're COMPLETELY reliable.
Please, any help is greatly appreciated. I'm desperately needing some advice.

should I get private registration for my domain?
Question by Zerrah: should I get private registration for my domain?
I really don't want my information shared for this website, I'm going to be using a pseudonym, basically a "pen name" and I want what I write to not be attached to me. However, I don't want to give away ownership of the domain. What should I do to keep my privacy intact?
