Change notification email rec’d today abt extra email addresses and disposable addresses-?

Question by sporty2: Change notification email rec'd today abt extra email addresses and disposable addresses-?
What's up with the email alerts that went out to Yahoo Premium members about 'you will no longer be receiving emails to any other domain that you did not sign up with. You will only receieve emails to your Extra email address: cocoluvr" (that's not my roor name but I didn't want to post the real one there for privacy). Also got another email that says "you have been receiving emails to your other yahoo domains even though your emaiul address ends in yahoo.com. In order to improve accuracy of emails received by you in right domain, you will no longer be receiving emails to any other domain that you did not sign up with. You will only receive emails to your disposable email address 'cocoluvr'[keyword]@yahoo.com.

Do I need to be concerned that any email either to the above root disposb ale address or more importantly to my promary yahoo account won't be delivered anymore? What's going on?

Any elaboration/clarification would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I'm not answering your question, but instead just adding to it... I received three similar emails from Yahoo today. Could these emails be any more vague? The least Yahoo should have done is provide a link in the emails they sent that tells more details. I have various linked and extra email addresses with my (paid) Yahoo Mail Plus account, and my extra email address has been my primary email address for work for over 10 years. If they are suddenly going to cancel this email address, it's going to cause me a lot of problems, so I'm not too happy about it.

Note there are a few more people asking this in Yahoo Answers (see source links), but no one seems to have much info yet.

I keep getting emails like these.. this is the 3rd 1 in less than an hr. I don’t have “extra” email accounts?

You may have been receiving emails to your Extra Email Address with other yahoo domains, even though your email address ends with @yahoo.com. In order to improve the accuracy of emails received by you in your right accounts, you will no longer be receiving emails to any other domain that you did not sign up with. You will only receive emails to your Extra Email Address: jdspcmail.

Please make sure you provide the right Extra Email Addresses so you continue to receive the emails.

To confirm your existing Extra Email Address:
1. In Yahoo! Mail, go to "Options," then "More Options"
2. From the menu on the left, click "Account"
3. Click "Add or edit an account"

Thank you,

Mark it as "spam."
What you will be doing is blocking contact between your address and the one it came from - this can be reversed if you accidently mark something as "spam" - and you are letting your mail provider know someone is sending junk mail.

I want to make an email that matches my domain name.?

Question by Pride of Motown: I want to make an email that matches my domain name.?
I own everything on my site. It's off of a private server, nothing like godaddy, blogspot, geocities etc. Now I'd like to make an email address that corresponds to the url. So instead of abc123@yahoo.com id like it to be abc123@mysite.com (Thats not the site name or personal name id pick obviously. I'm leaving the real url out for privacy).

So how can it be done, preferably legally.

Even if it can't, please say so and give me feedback!

If someone emails me, can I post the contents of their email on my blog?

Posted by admin

Question by Just Some Dude: If someone emails me, can I post the contents of their email on my blog?
I run a personal, non-commercial blog (with some ads) on my own domain. I was solicited (by email) by a sales rep on behalf of Company X. In previous blog entries, I have spoken poorly of Company X specifically and Company X's industry as a whole. The email contains only the correspondence and lacks any terms of use or disclaimers about reproducing the content. I have posted the original email and my response word-for-word (I have removed the sender's last name, and altered the sender's email address and phone number). It is my understanding that: (1) email is considered insecure and non-private by the vast majority of internet users, (2) it is common knowledge among average people that online communications are neither secure nor private, and (3) claims to privacy or usage restrictions against the recipient of an email are invalid and unenforceable. If relevant, this is in Pennsylvania. Thanks!
